Baked duck with oranges Recipe
Ingredients
6 servingsPreparation
Garch the duck well, trim off excess fat, wash and dry with a paper towel. Remove the zest from the oranges with a fine grater and set aside. Squeeze out the juice of 2 oranges, and cut the remaining pulp into small pieces. Add the savory, mix well and place the duck in this marinade for at least 2 hours (turning periodically). After marinating, brush the duck with the saved orange zest. Cut another orange into 6 pieces and place it inside the duck.
Seal the belly opening with wooden toothpicks. Place the duck on a baking tray and put it in the oven preheated to 190-200°C for about 2 hours. Every 15 minutes, pour the separated juice over the duck (if desired, bake the apples on the same plate as well).
Meanwhile, prepare the glaze: drain the remaining marinade into a pan, add honey and simmer to the consistency of syrup. Pour hot syrup generously over the duck before serving! Serve deliciously.
