MYCHEF operates the website mychef.ge, a Georgian-language culinary platform offering recipes, cooking tools and food content. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using mychef.ge you agree to this policy.

• Account data: when you register we collect your email address, phone number, display name and a securely hashed password.
• Content you submit: recipes, photos, ratings and comments you choose to publish.
• Activity data: recipes you save, weekly menu plans and pantry items stored in your account.
• Technical data: cookies, and — where you consent — analytics data; server logs may record IP address and browser information for security.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and to authenticate you.
• To publish and display the recipes and content you submit.
• To provide personalized features such as saved recipes, the weekly menu and the pantry.
• To keep the platform safe and prevent abuse. If an account is banned, we retain its email address and phone number specifically to prevent the banned person from re-registering.
• To measure and improve the site through analytics, only after you grant consent.
• To translate content between Georgian, English and Russian.

Cookies and consent

Essential cookies are always used to keep you signed in and secure. Non-essential and analytics cookies load only after you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can decline them at any time.

Third parties

• Microsoft Azure Translator: content is sent for automatic translation between Georgian, English and Russian.
• Meta / Facebook: when a recipe is published we may automatically post it to our Facebook Page with a link back to mychef.ge. Only the public recipe — its title, short description, link and image — is shared; no account or personal data.
• Hosting and analytics providers act as our processors under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data.

External links

Our "Interesting" section aggregates headlines from third-party sources and links back to the original articles. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Ban records (email and phone) are retained to enforce bans. Logs are kept for a limited period for security.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].

Children

mychef.ge is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Security
