Ingredients
6 servingsPreparation
Wash the dried peas and pre-soak them in cold water overnight. Then wash the dumped peas again, place them in a saucepan, pour enough water to cover completely, put them on the stove and bring to a boil.
After that, reduce the heat and simmer for about an hour until the peas are well cooked. If the water dries out, add it and stir often so that the peas in the bottom do not stick to the pot and do not burn.
At this point, peel the potatoes into cubes. When the peas are cooked, add the potatoes, spices, salt and bay leaf.
Peel the onions and carrots. Finely chop the onion, and grate the carrots on a grater. Cook in both oil, transfer to a pot of peas and potatoes and boil the soup for another 5-10 minutes.
Blend the cooked soup, transfer to the sains, garnish with herbs and serve with freshly baked bread croutons. Be careful.
