Honey Buns Recipe
Ingredients
8 servingsPreparation
Pour warm drinking water into a saucepan and put the yeast in it and mix. Leave for 15 minutes under a towel to activate. Sift the flour with salt through a fine sieve. Mix water (250 ml) with the clarified yeast and knead carefully until a dough of a homogeneous consistency. Cover with a towel and leave to ferment in a warm place for 1 hour.
In a large saucepan, heat the oil for the fryer. After lubricating the palms with vegetable oil, take a small piece of dough and make it so that small balls are formed.
Carefully dip the dough balls into the heated oil and fry until golden brown. Arrange the finished cookies on paper towels to absorb excess fat.
Prepare the syrup. To do this, put sugar in a saucepan, pour drinking water (200 ml) and add honey. Put on medium heat and, stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes.
Place the prepared buns in a large deep plate and pour hot honey syrup. Let stand for 20 minutes, then serve. You can sprinkle with ground cinnamon if desired.
